 Shop Assistant (Saturdays)

Can you spend hours discussing the merits of onion marmalade compared to piccalilli in a cheese sandwich? Do you know your Conference from your Comice? If so, then we may have the job for you.

We have a rare opportunity in the farm shop for a Sales Assistant to join the team on a Saturday. The main duties are serving on the till, stocking up the shop and providing advice to customers. Previous retail experience is not necessary, however the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a real interest in food and cooking, and be confident in conversing with customers about these topics.

If you are interested in the position, please do send in your CV.

We are looking for a talented chef to join our team to assist the head chef in producing quality traditional cusisine. You must be able to work quickly and efficiently in procesing orders while under pressure. Our focus surrounds using fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch, so experience and knowledge of this is a must have.

Our menu consists of the usual cafe fare, but of a higher standard with a rustic edge, we also produce an increasing amount of cakes and pastries that are sold in our cafe and farm shop so an interest in baking would be an advantage. Your input would be much appreciated when selecting new dishes for our specials boards and future menus.

This role offers a great work life balance, straight daytime shifts (no evenings) and is closed for Christmas. We are open all weekends and bank holidays.

Benefits include 28 days holiday, pension scheme, competitive rates of pay dependent on experience and a discretionary annual bonus after 1 years’ service.

Please note that we are in a rural position between Swindon and Marlborough where public transport links are very limited, so your own transport is advisable. We have ample free parking on site.
